Satellite With Rain And Lightning
We have a deep trough over northern Queensland which is bringing areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms. Cloud associated with ex-Tropical Cyclone Penny is near the Queensland North tropical coast. The outflow from this system is streaming southeastwards over Fraser Island.
While troughs over New South Wales and northeastern Victoria are producing showers and some severe thunderstorms. Theses troughs area generating low to high-level cloud is over New South Wales and the Tasman Sea.
A severe thunderstorm warning for New South Wales is also current for the Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains, Australian Capital Territory and parts of the Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Central West Slopes and Plains, Riverina, Lower Western, and Upper Western districts.
A cold front is south of Adelaide with an area of low to high-level cloud in southern South Australia causing showers and storms, mainly offshore.
While a trough over Western Australia is responsible for dragging heat south across the continent.
