We are looking at for the rest of the week fine conditions as a dry air mass takes control. From Thursday thanks to a moist onshore seabreeze possible thunderstorms and showers are likely north of Rockhampton.
For us further south we will have to wait until Saturday when the air mass becomes more moist and the moisture moves further inland. This is when we are likely to see thunderstorms which could quite possibly become severe in the early to late afternoon.
So I do ask that you do pay attention to whether reports and severe weather warnings. As these thunderstorms do have the potential to become severe with possible large hailstones burst of heavy rainfall and locally destructive winds. We will be monitoring this activity as we move closer to the weekend so be sure to keep an eye out on the updates through the week.
